About Oshara | The Story Behind a New Shower Experience
A New Way to Experience Your Daily Shower
Most showers haven’t really changed in decades. You turn on the water, reach for a bottle, and try to juggle soap while standing on a wet floor.
Oshara was created to make that experience simpler, more enjoyable, and a little more indulgent by mixing soap directly into the flowing shower water.
The result is warm scented bubbles delivered straight from your shower, surrounding you as you wash.
Where the Idea Began
The original inspiration came many years ago in California during a conversation with beauty entrepreneur Scott-Vincent Borba, who had been pioneering a new category of skincare products known as cosmeceuticals.
His idea was simple but fascinating: what if skincare products could be delivered through the shower itself?
Imagine stepping out of the shower feeling refreshed, clean and revitalised, with the ingredients already mixed into the water.
For an inventor, it was a beautifully simple thought.
What if the shower could deliver the soap?
Turning the idea into reality
For years, the idea lingered in the back of the mind. Then the pandemic created the unexpected catalyst.
After a long time in the corporate world, the pause gave Alan the chance to return to what he enjoyed most, hands-on design and invention. With time to experiment again, the idea of mixing soap directly into the shower water finally moved from concept to reality.
Created by an Inventor for Everyday Moments
Oshara was developed by British inventor Alan Somerfield, who has spent decades creating practical products that improve everyday experiences.
His approach has always been simple: take something people do every day and find a way to make it work better.
A shower may only last a few minutes, but it’s one of the few moments in the day that is entirely your own. Oshara was designed to make that moment feel a little more special — turning an ordinary shower into a small daily luxury.
